The Sant Jaume de l'Ebre road begins at the Ebro mouth, where the river course go until LOgronyo, where connect with the franch road.
Accordint to tradition, the apostle James also walked this road. During its journey the Virgin appeared on a pillar, place where at the moment the basilica of the Pillar of Zaragoza rises.
Historically, it has served pilgrims settled in the lands irrigated by the river Ebro and pilgrims from other Mediterranean countries. It territorially covers the autonomous communities of Catalonia, Aragon, Navarra and La Rioja.
This route, in our lands, has the particularity of being a route of different inter-county stages, shared between three counties, the Baix Ebre, the Montsià and the Terra Alta. Below, we detail the first four stages that go from the mouth of the Ebro to Xerta.
