CASA DE FUSTA

THE BIRDS THAT LIVE IN THE DELTA DE L'EBRE

The Casa de Fusta is one of the most distinctive elements of the Delta de l'Ebre. It was built in the late 1920s by a group of hunters who were attracted by the variety and the quantity of birds that lived in this natural space. Nowadays it is located in the Encanyissada lagoon and it is the interpretation center of the Delta de l'Ebre Natural Park. Inside the centre there is an ornithological museum, with a representative collection of the bird species that live in the area and outside the there is a viewpoint overlooking the Llacuna de l’Encanyissada, an ideal spot for birdwatching.
