El Garxal is a wetland that is found to the left of the mouth of the Ebro River itself. It’s a shallow lagoon that has become the ideal habitat for birds inhabiting the Delta.

The lagoon is surrounded by a well-preserved ecosystem with considerable vegetation. Only fresh water enters and no drainage channel from the rice fields spills into it.

Here you’ll find the Ziggurat, a viewpoint from where you can see the mouth of the river, the area of Riumar, the coastline of l’Ampolla, etc., and at the same time the different birds in the Ebro Delta Natural Park.
